&lt;p&gt;The 5.1 screenshot indicate that you did not use pairing in that case. But in the 6.1 you try to initiate pairing.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Try to comment out line 623, dm_security_setup_req() as this is the line that initiates security.&lt;/p&gt;
