I have tested the FatFS example from SDK 15 on a PCA10056 board. It is working as expected. If you are not able to get it working, there is something wrong with your wiring, socket board, SD card (have you tried with another card, or formatted the card using a PC?), or you have changed something in the SDK/example code.

You need to try with a SD card socket board without level converters.

Yes, I am powering through USB 5V.

I used this code: \nRF5_SDK_15.1.0_a8c0c4d\examples\peripheral\fatfs\pca10056\blank\arm5_no_packs

I am getting "Disk initialization failed."

Are you powering the PCA10056 board using 5V source? If not, it will not work with Fatfs socket board with level converters. If the board runs at 3V, the pin voltage for the SPI interface is outside the specified max Input high voltage for the nRF52840 GPIOs. Please try with a board without level converters.

I have connected sd card with socket board to nrf board. this board has inbuilt level converters.

I am using Fatfs example code (PCA10056) from SDK15. still, I can't get any result.please to solve this issue.

Hi,

Did you connect the SD card directly to the pins, or through some SD card socket board? If this was connected through a board, please make sure the board does not have level converters for use with 5 V arduino boards.

Are you using the FatFS example from the SDK, or did you modify it somehow?
