Don't think so. I'm a fan of VsCode as an editor myself, you can even use it as an IDE if you want.

The embedded IDE's are lagging quite a bit behind higher abstraction language alternatives when it comes to user interfaces.

Is there a way to install themes? I'm currently an Eclipse user and I'm open to alternatives, but coding on a white background is a no-go for me.

I agree there's a lot of features that are really nice and some that are a bit cumbersome. I strongly urge you to install the CMSIS wizard if you've not done that already, it will save you a lot of time working with the sdk_config header file.

Overall a huge improvement over Eclipse and even Keil.

I have now used Segger Studio 4.12 on two other project (nrf52832) and simply love it :-)
It has several thinks i dont like, but you learn to ignore it.
The newest 4.16 seems to have problems with the debug terminal (Segger RTT), so I'm still using 4.12

https://www.segger.com/news/segger-embedded-studio-ide-now-free-for-nordic-sdk-users/ - no mention of any "non-commercial" restriction.

But it is only for use with Nordic devices.

Does this license include if I want to use SES for contract work development? Or is it just a hobbyist license?
