Not sure which SDK you are using but the cli_libuarte example in 15.1 and above is working great.

SDK 15.1 is currently not available. If you have already downloaded it please check an example:

sdk\nrf5\examples\peripheral\experimental_cli_libuarte

I see libUARTE is included as experimental library in SDK 15.1.0. Could you provide the steps needed to use libUARTE as backed for cli? And maybe explain what the difference is between UARTE and regular UART driver and backend?

Hi,

With next SDK release we will add LibUARTE as a CLI backend, this shall fix your problem.

Until that time you can use a fix we proposed some time ago:
