Compile MQTT-SNGateway with IPv6 support an you will get response from it:

All I know is that the 1.0.0-1.alpha is built from https://github.com/openthread/borderrouter and that the previous versions are built from https://github.com/NordicPlayground/thread_border_router.

You might get a better answer if you open an issue in the openthread border router repo.

Thanks for looking. Those are what I used to set up the border router. I will continue to see if I can figure out the difference between the Raspberry PI that uses your pre-built image and the BBB that I manually set up.

As a added note, I downloaded the image from here: https://www.nordicsemi.com/eng/nordic/Products/nRF5-SDK-for-Thread-and-Zigbee/RaspPi-Thread-Border-Router-Demo/60502 and that is the setup I would like to mirror on the BeagleBone Black

NO, not really. On that page, under the "Flashing the Raspberry Pi image to the microSD card", step 2 says to flash the RaspPi_OT_Border_Router_Demo_v1.0.0-1.alpha.img I was wondering if y'all have the steps to how that image was set up (Software installed and how it was configured).
