It should be under our control. The SES project refers to the XML file, so there should not be any problem renaming it ("Section Placement File" under "Linker" in the project options).

Hi,

I fully agree, the naming of the file is not good. It would probably be better with something like "memory_placement" or "section_placement". I will create an internal ticket suggesting that the name should be changed.
