Nordic don't have any online tool to calculate current consumption for the nRF51 series. So how to calculate current consumption for my nrf device.

RE: How to calculate current consumption of nrf51822.

Hi,

The information in this link is unfortunately no longer possible.

If you use the nRF52 Power Profiler, then you can assume that the current consumption for the nRF51 will be about 30% higher for all results. This should give an approx values.

Best regards,
Kenneth

RE: How to calculate current consumption of nrf51822.

Thanks Andreas,

i followed this link and its saying that if you register a support case on www.nordicsemi.com and upload some profile parameters nordic supporter will calculate. But in this nordic site i cant REGISTER NEW CASE. In "My Page" window there is no any option to register a new case.

RE: How to calculate current consumption of nrf51822.

Hi,

No, unfortunately there is no online tool to calculate current consumption in nRF51, for this you have to shift your development to nRF52. In nRF51 you have to rely on the documentation and do the hard work yourself. I still encourage you to measure this e.g. using our power profiler kit, which also works with nRF51.

Best regards,

Andreas
