I am following the document http://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/pdf/nRFConnect_BLE_User_Guide_v2.2.pdf to work with nRFConnect desktop App and my DK BMD300(Rigado).
I have flashed a program using nRFGoStudio already to the device ( SDK 15, Softdevice

RE: Issue with nRFConnect desktop App

Hi,

Now I could connect the device through nRFConnnect Desktop App.

Wait, are you trying out the nRF5 SDK for Mesh? Then you should have a look at the nRF5 SDK for Mesh documentation, in particular the Getting started sections and the Examples.

nRF Connect is for BLE, not for Bluetooth Mesh.

Also when I connected to laptop and after opening the nrf connect ble application the app cannot read the device but if I press the reset button then it enters bootloader mode and then a new program is loaded. What to do in such cases.

Also do you know what happens after flashing the mesh serial hex file?

RE: Issue with nRFConnect desktop App

But after flashing the hex file to the dongle, the Led on the dongle stops glowing.
You can connect it to the same PC.

nRF Connect for Desktop will ask for downloading the connectivity firmware to an nRF device when you select it in the dropdown. Just make sure to select the correct device there, and you should be fine.

If you still experience problems, please take a screenshot of the error message and attach it here.

nRF Connect requires one device to use as a "connectivity device". What this means is that you use an nRF Dongle or DK connected to the PC, that provides BLE capabilities for nRF Connect.

This means you need another nRF device in addition to your custom application one.

Having your device with a custom BLE application connected to the PC is not a problem, just select the device that you want to use for connectivity device in the dropdown menu and everything should be fine.

I think after flashing the device with the required hex file, we have to turn on the dongle externally using power supply (1V to 5V), like battery. After flashing the device if you connect it to your pc/laptop and open nRF Connect app for pc then the dongle goes into bootlander mode. At the back side of the dongle (nRF52840 which I am using) has Vdd and Gnd connections. I think we need to use them. Search for these points on your dongle. Let's wait for someone more experienced to post his answer.
