Thank you for advice, but sdk_config.h from BLE example have a lot of configs for BLE and softdevice that are not exist in template_project. But it's not big issue.
Also maybe it's possible to copy only part of code, that responsible for NRF_LOG.

Thank you for reporting this issue. I have forwarded it to the SDK team.

In the meantime you can try to copy the sdk_config.h file from another example (e.g. \examples\ble_peripheral\ble_app_template\pca10040\s132\config\sdk_config.h) into the config folder of \peripheral\template_project

Hi,

No problem, the infocenter have some information about the driver migration in here.

"For new applications, it is strongly recommended to use the new API directly, since the legacy layer will be deprecated and eventually removed in future SDK releases."

So it seems as this "unconvenience" will only be temporary. As I am told, the migration to the new driver API have something to do with licenses.

I uploaded again SDK 15.1 from web-site and check sdk_config.h in ble_app_template. I found, those defines, so probably I incorrectly change something in sdk_config.h in template example in SDK that I previously uploaded.
That is my fault, sorry.
But also I want ask other question. Why Nordic changed drivers from nrf_drv_* to nrfx_*? What's new appeared in nrfx_* and why name is changed? Also sdk_config.h file become two times larger in order to cover nrfx_* and nrf_drv_* drivers, it's not comfortable, what Nordic will do with it?
Maybe you can give me links to "infocenter", where I can read about it. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I have no problem finding the defines in SDK 15.1. NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_ENABLED is in line 7379 for instance. Which IDE are you using? Have you try searching for the defines in the current project and nothing comes up?

Thanks for the answer, but in SDK 15.1 in sdk_config.h these defines are not exist. At least at BLE_APP_TEMPLATE

Hi,

You can change the definitions for NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_ENABLED or NRF_LOG_BACKEND_RTT_ENABLED from 0 to 1 to select channel for logger. NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_TX_PIN for selecting the TX pin and NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_BAUDRATE for selecting the baudrate. All this can also be done easily from the "Configuration Wizard". If you are using Segger Embedded Studio see the answer to this case to set it up.
