Thank you for your answer.

This may clear some confusion if you program the FICR at your factory. Just to confirm, when we receive the nRF52840 chip (not the development board), the FICR is preprogrammed and any additional information that we need to add about the chip shall be written to the UICR (or flash).

Not sure if I understand. The FICR is not programmable, these fields are already pre-programmed from our factory. From datasheet: "Factory information configuration registers (FICR) are pre-programmed in factory and cannot be erased by the user. These registers contain chip-specific information and configuration."
