I can always boot in the old kernel and run some tests if you have anything for me to test...

Other than that, some of the changes between the two kernel versions must have done the trick.

Oh Well, seems that after updating to kernel 4.18.10-200.fc28.x86_64 from 4.18.8-200.fc28.x86_64, it now works again...

Hi susheel,

I do not have any logic analyzer here (they are quite expensive, and we are a small company.

I usually turn on the board and quite soon I run the command... It would be really rare to have any activity on it.

I wonder if we can debug this by getting you logs or other kind of software traces, either using the standard ble driver or any debug version you want me to run.

We have never tested this with Fedora Linux, and we do not have any PCs with Fedora native install. So it is hard to debug for us. Since the error occurs on dfu_transport_open() we wanted to know if there was any prior activity on UART at all. Can you sniff the UART port by a logic analyzer and post it here so that we can see if the UART port was opened before and to see if there was any activity on these lines after the command started.

The driver for linux is being submitted to pip just now. Can you do pip install like below

pip uninstall pc-ble-driver-py

pip install pc-ble-driver-py

and verify that version 0.11.4 gets installed.

Sorry David, we saw that build only included the Windows drivers and missed the Linux files. We have initiated a new build to include Linux drivers and will include that here as soon as it builds.

Those folders do not contain anything... that is why running it fails... Maybe that is the problem with the module you provided... it does not install the required libraries there, like the mainstream installer do.

Give that there were library files missing, I attempted to:

Install nrfutil
Save the folders /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pc_ble_driver_py/lib/linux/x86_{64,32}
Uninstall the pc_ble_driver_py
Install your tar.gz pc_ble_driver_py
Copy back the /usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/pc_ble_driver_py/lib/linux//x86_{64,32} folders

But I get the same problem:
