IPv6 is used first and foremost because one can compress the IPv6 header. &lt;p&gt;if you want to address a Bluetooth device with a IP address, then I suggest that you take a look at our&amp;nbsp;&lt;a title="Experimental: IoT Examples" href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.sdk5.v15.2.0/iot_examples.html?cp=4_0_0_4_1_4"&gt;Experimental: IoT Examples&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;in the latest SDK. Note: Our IoT libraries uses IPv6 and only supports the nRF52 family.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
