I do not believe it is possible for an app to change this behavior.</p> <p>What is the reason you want the phone to only connect if the app is active?</p> <p>If the point is to let the peripheral know that the user is using the app, then another approach could be for the app to write to a specific characteristic in the peripheral whenever the app is started.
