I have the same issue, using Windows 7 Bash Shell and Command Line with Python 3.7 and nRF SDK v2.2.0.

Looks terrible... 😭

It doesn't seem that I am able to reproduce the issue using Win7 either.

Do you have a Win10 computer available to test this and see if that generates the same issue?

From what I can see you are using an older version of Windows? If you let me know the specifics of your setup, I can try to reproduce.

Thank you for trying to reproduce it. To your question: The effect is indepedent from the console (how it should be). Firstly I was using the Windows command line too. This is behaving the same way. In the mean time I installed the complete toolchain on a colleague's computer and he had the same problems. I will try it on my private notebook.

It would be helpful to me if you let me know which versions of python and OS you are using, with your working Installation.

I'm afraid I wasn't able to reproduce this.

I haven't tried using "CMDER" as a console emulator. I was using windows command line, and the output was as expected.
Have you seen the same issue using Windows command prompt?

The problem can be reproduced without any problems, it is persistant.

But the Output does not always look exactly the same. As you can see in the newly attached screenshot, the same effect I observed repeatedly when continuing the example.

I'm not sure what could be the cause of that.

Is this a persistant problem? Does it happen every time?

Does it print the device index on line 1 and 3 every time, or does it vary?

for me, it seems to be a tough nut to crack...

could it rather be a problem with the OS timing ?
