I am using the nRF52840 development board, and can't get UART logging to work. I have checked all the settings in sdk_config with no joy.
I have hyperterminal setup at 115200 bps, 8 data bits, parity None stop bits 1, and tried all combos

RE: nRF52840 DK UART logging not working

Just tested and it works with Putty! Thanks not used that before, must be hyperterminal issue.

RE: nRF52840 DK UART logging not working

Ok, ill give putty a try with your settings. Is it correct that I connect to the virtual com port from the nRF52840 dev kit USB micro socket (left socket), or do I need to connect a serial to USB device to the header pins on the board?

RE: nRF52840 DK UART logging not working

Hi Phillip,

both NRF_LOG_ENABLED and NRF_LOG_BACKEND_UART_ENABLED are set to 1 by default in the ble_app_multilink_central project so UART logging should work out of the box.

I am using Termite v3.1 with baudrate 115200, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity bit and RTS/CTS enabled. I have also tested with Putty using the same configuration. No issues. Could you try one of those terminal emulators?

Best regards
