I'm moving from Eclipse to SES which on the face of it seems smoother and cleaner. My problem is figuring out how to setup my projects. If what I want can't be achieved then I'd like to dump SES and get back to the familiar complications

RE: How to structure a group of applications I want to develop in tandem?

Sigurd,

Thanks for your reply. I hate to feel I posed 'lazy' questions that can easily be answered by a few minutes of web-browsing, and I'm sure you get hundred of them each day. :-)

I have read around, and I have watched a whole bunch of videos including Nordic's own. I have read through the Segger online help files. I'm sure that mine is just one of those conceptual dissonance problems. There is something that I have misunderstood, or failed to read. I have posed my question on the Segger forum too, and got zero responses, which is unusual.

Clearly my question is not well formulated.

I'll try to figure it out myself. Please delete my question.

RE: How to structure a group of applications I want to develop in tandem?

Hi,

You can customize this as you want. You can have several projects in the solution, and you can also have different build configurations. In the SES projects in the SDK we are using “Release” and “Debug” configuration. I don't see any problems with your conceptual structure. Note that Segger have their own Segger SES forum section where you can ask SES specific questions, and provide direct feedback to Segger. See this link.

I recommend using SES, and note that you can use Segger Embedded Studio for commercial and non-commercial purpose with Nordic Semiconductor devices free of charge. We also have some getting started with SES videos for beginners at our YouTube channel.
