&lt;p&gt;Typically all communication in the 2.4GHz are short packet communication, meaning that if you increase the transmission time, it is more likely that you will experience interference in an environment with much 2.4GHz traffic. So&amp;nbsp;increasing the on-air time with 8x (2Mbps-&amp;gt;250kbps) will increase the risk of collisions in the 2.4GHz band, which may cause more re-transmissions and increased delay in a noisy environment.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
