If my understanding is correct, a pad that has approximately the same size as the finger will give the most accurate result. In any case, yes, you should test this for your intended application and your end-design.

Thanks for your reply.
As what I understand, the bigger touch pad is , the more accurate it will be.
But there is still a limit of it.

If there is no reference design,
may I know if there is any suggestion size of the touch pad to use with?
Or what we can do is "try and error" for that right size?

Hi,

Nordic does not have any reference designs with capacitive touch sensors. We have a capacitive sense libraries in the SDK, and this guide that was written before it was added, that might be useful.
