 Is it possible to connect an external antenna with better gain to nRF52840 dongle (pca10059) in order to improve the range?

&lt;p&gt;Technically yes, but there is no connector for coax cables or antennas on the dongle, so you will need to add this yourself. You either need to add it where R1 is normally mounted, or cut the transmission line wherever you solder the cable/connector.&lt;/p&gt;
