What reason do you get from the ble_gap_evt_disconnect? After(if the connection is lost, you would have to initiate the advertising again. In connected state you can only to non-connectable advertising, so you can broadcast, but not have more than one connection at the time. The error message you get could indicate that you are trying to do connectable advertisements even though you are in a connection and this would fail.</p> <p><a href="https://github.com/NordicSemiconductor/nRF51-multi-role-conn-observer-advertiser">You might also want to have a look at the code example here that does broadcasting while in connection.</a></p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
