Sorry for not responding, I was out-of-office over the past days. Happy to hear that it worked out in the end!

The terms "writebytes" and "writebyteswithresponse" does not mean anything in BLE terminology, so it is probably something unique for the MIT app inventor application.

I can confirm that you need to terminate the command with a carriage return character (the 0x0D byte). The line that you want, e.g. 2 2 20 172 13 in decimal, and where the last value of 13 is the carriage return, corresponds to writing a string of the following five bytes to the characteristic: 0x02, 0x02, 0x14, 0xAC, 0x0D.

So the remaining question is how to write that string using the MIT app inventor application, for which I am afraid I cannot help you. Is there any support services or forums for that application, that you can use in order to figure this out?

I am afraid I do not know how that graphical coding language works. The bottom one ("Envoie Trame4") looks the most correct to me, although I do not know what will be the formatting of this "list" when it gets assembled and sent over the air... The attempts with multiple levels of "replace all text" definitely looks wrong. Have you tried the two bottom-most variants but without the "13" as well?

Regards,
Terje

RE: Led light control of th thingy.

I have tested different format but none of them work. Do you have an idea?

Maybe, it is the initialize global fonction that create an integer variable.

RE: Led light control of th thingy.

Hi,

13, or 0x0D, is the ASCII character for "carriage return". I do not know for sure, but if I should guess I would guess that the commands (both sent and received) must be terminated with this character. can you try that? (I.e., in your terms, "send 1 - 0 - 255 - 0 - 13")
