no I did not! Now I did and it is connected by Bluetooth:
make flash_softdevice

did the trick.

I wonder how to get NFC to also work now? Why do I see "connected" and but it is not "bonded"

Just trying to figure out how to work with this development kit. Appreciate your help

I have successfully make flash the ble_peripheral_blinkey (via gcc) app but still cannot detect the blue tooth from my phone?

If you've erased the whole chip, you will need to re-program the SoftDevice before you can do anything with Bluetooth.
