&lt;p&gt;Yes, it is possible to code using the registers directly. The registers are documented in the &lt;a href="https://infocenter.nordicsemi.com/topic/com.nordic.infocenter.nrf52/dita/nrf52/chips/nrf52832_ps.html?cp=2_1_0"&gt;nRF52832 Product Specifications&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;(under each peripheral).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="https://github.com/andenore/NordicSnippets/tree/master/examples"&gt;This GitHub repository&lt;/a&gt; contains many examples that show how to do bare-metal programming on nRF52832.&lt;/p&gt;
