 nrf9160_mdm_dfu --update 
 
 I then got this error.

&lt;p&gt;When I use the same cable on the previous version of the dev kit, it works just fine (and I see COM3 populating as &amp;quot;JLink CDC UART Port&amp;quot;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However, when I plug the cable into the new dev there are new ports detected (COMs 5, 6, and 7) but nothing is recognized as a J-link debugger.&lt;/p&gt;

I suggest you verify that the DK is properly connected and turned on.&amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;FYI, your USB cable might be broken, or is of a &amp;quot;power only&amp;quot; type USB cable.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
