&lt;p&gt;Yes, you can use P1 pins (on SoCs where they are available).&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The &amp;quot;Software Component only&amp;quot; comment seems to be erroneously generated, and I have reported the documentation bug in our internal tracker.&lt;/p&gt;
