What I am asking for is if there are some screen shots like those above that show where to complete steps #3, #4, and #5 as it is not clear to me in Segger Embedded Studio where these options are. I already have the assembly files setup, but how to configure these steps in SES are not clear.

There's a general Transferring the project to nRF52810 hardware guide and there are examples in the SDK already set up with the PC10040e target with SES. You can inspect such an example's configuration in order to reverse the changes that have been done to enable the emulation of the nRF52810.

Is there somewhere in the documentation where this process is outlined similar to the above, but for Segger Embedded Studio?

The error is due to the compiler using nrf52.h instead of nrf52810.h

Most likely NRF52 is defined somewhere in your project, though any source file that includes nrf52.h will be at fault.

I change the c/c++ preprocessor like below:-

BOARD_PCA10040 CONFIG_GPIO_AS_PINRESET FLOAT_ABI_HARD NRF52810_XXAA NRF52_PAN_74 NRF_SD_BLE_API_VERSION=6 S132 SOFTDEVICE_PRESENT SWI_DISABLE0 __HEAP_SIZE=0 __STACK_SIZE=8192

Is it right?

But till i get error

RTE\Device\nRF52810_xxAA\system_nrf52810.c(169): error: #136: struct "<unnamed>" has no field "MAXPACKETSIZE"

what changes are i do to resolve this error?

From the guide:

3. In the C/C++ preprocessor settings, remove the defines "NRF52" and "NRF52832_XXAA".

4. Add the preprocessor define "NRF52810_XXAA".

RAM settings looks right.

I believe C pre-proccessor definitions are found in the 'C/C++' tab in 'Options for target ...'.
