A fix release of nRF Connect for Desktop is available! It includes a fix for the PPK White Screen issue.

Edit: There will be a fix as soon as possible. Unfortunately I estimate a few weeks due to the testing involved.

So what does this mean? What can we do? The impact for me is that I bought a PPK and can't use it at all...

They have identified the issue, however there is no new release planned at the moment, so this might take a while. I guess it will depend on the impact for you whether a fix-release is necessary sooner rather than later.

Found a workaround for now:
Power Profiler v2.0.0 on nRF Connect v2.5.0 works without segfault.

Ubuntu 18.04 with KDE Plasma 5.12.7

Segfault when the Profiler screen turns while:

I have just built pc-nrfconnect-core and run the power profiler from there. same issue, only now we see it comes from electron:

[436972.482679] electron[25192]: segfault at 37927eb ip 00007f68bed2aaed sp 00007f68a9b3adc8 error 7 in libc-2.27.so[7f68beb9c000+1e7000]

Log is normal as far as I can tell, but feel free to tell me how to produce more meaningful logs...

and it also happen in the "Bluetooth Low Energy" app, sometimes in "RSSI Viewer" too
