I have a 9 node mesh running Thread and so far i have collected and analyzed latency data and packet delivery ratio data. I need to find out when dynamic routing occurred during the pinging. Each node pinged the other

RE: Dynamic routing

Hi,

I will check internally to see how you can control the parameters with the routing table update.
But you can read more on how Thread maintain the routing table by having a look at section 5.9 Routing Protocol in Thread v1.1 spec. You can download the spec here.

RE: Dynamic routing

Excuse my late response. Dynamic routing-the path used to deliver the packets in the Thread mesh may be changed (automatically) if the current one somehow degrades (poor signal, etc). I know that there is a distance vector algorithm used to update the routing paths. Is there a set time/duration after which the routing table (s) are updated or is it random and gets triggered after a path/route cost is judged to be too high?

RE: Dynamic routing

Hi Rorisang,

Could you explain a little bit more on the "dynamic routing" protocol you mentioned ? You want to know when the routing table is updated ? Or you want to reduce/increase the update rate of the routing table ?
