Sorry for the delayed response.

I am happy to hear that at least you have a workaround using a different programmer.

You could try to use J-Link Configurator and see if upgrading the firmware on the failing J-Link makes a difference.

Check also that the board is properly powered, may it be that the custom board draws the power from the programmer and the J-Link EDU Mini is not capable of (or configured to) deliver power for the external board?

seems only using the edu mini version makes it fail, using jlink base works well...

Hi there,

I'm using the latest JLinkExe V6.40,

the board I'm trying to connect to is a "Particle Xenon".

Connecting to the nrf52840 dongle works without problems, both boards should have the same signals connected according to the scm comparison.

Hi,

What version of J-Link Software adn Documentation Pack are you using?

Does it work to do a "nrfjprog --recover"?

Do you have another board that you can try the same command with?
