I get this error on example projects as well. I am trying to use them as a starting point. Used all the same toolchaining that works fine on SDK 6.1

There are a lot changes since SDK6. The files structure has changed. The function names has changed. Many functions in SDK6 no long exist. It is better to start with the new SDK8 example project and bring you code over.

I have to same error migrating from SDK 6.1 to SDK 8.0. How were you able to solve this?

Sorry, for the late reply, I didn't receive notification of this question. What you need to do is to open Eclipse and set the Workspace to nRF51 folder. The CMSIS and EHAL projects are already there. If it doesn't show up. You can import them to your workspace. Then you can compile. All projects are Eclipse based.

i try it but i have some problem. I don't understand what do i do to clone the EHAL source tree. i took this github : https://github.com/I-SYST/EHAL but now?? I would try to turn on and turn off RGB LED on dongle PCA10000 when you say: "To compile the examples, you need first compile the CMSIS library and the EHAL library." how to do this? I'm sorry for all these questions. thank you so much
