If you're switching to another antenna than the default one on the NRF52 Thingy then you might have to change some components in the NFC antenna matching. Are you interfacing the antenna to the stock nRF52 Thingy or are you making your own custom variant?

The NFC pins are not broken out to the headers so if you want to use another connector, you will have to de-solder the existing molex one and then solder on a new one to the pads of the old connector.

Hi Bjorn,

In looking for 3rd party antennas, the connector to the nRF52 board is proving to be the hard part. I know the connector's name, but it doesn't seem to be very standard. Any other ideas about how I could attach an external NFC tag through a port that isn't where the existing NFC tag comes in? Way to attach an NFC Antenna with an ACH(F) connector to the nRF52?
