I'm developing BLE 5.0 applications as a peripheral on nRF52832 under Windows, based both SDK14 and SDK15 (Softdevice S132).

I don't have any smartphone that supports the BLE 5.0. So, I want to interface my peripheral applications with nRF52

RE: BLE 5.0 on nRF52

Thank You Awneil.

RE: BLE 5.0 on nRF52
How to make sure that the established connection is BLE 5.0
As already noted, there are many things which could make a connection "BLE 5".

So you'd need to check that whichever one(s) you requested has/have been accepted.

RE: BLE 5.0 on nRF52

Hi Awneil,

nRF Connect for mobile would require a "Bluetooth 5" mobile - which mehdi says (s)he doesn't have.

And, even if (s)he did have a mobile which said "Bluetooth 5" - it would be hard to find what that actually means.

RE: BLE 5.0 on nRF52

Hi,

Let me add to the list of central options.

You can use nRF Connect, either for desktop or for mobile. It lets you connect to any BLE peripheral, bond, use the characteristics, etc. At least that would be the quickest and easiest way to just get started.

Regards,
Terje

RE: BLE 5.0 on nRF52
BLE 5.0 applications
What, exactly, do you mean by that?

Note that there are many optional features that allow people to call their application "BLE 5" - so which ones are you actually interested in?

eg, the nRF52832 does not support the BLE 5 Range Extensions ("Coded PHY"):

https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/39532/is-it-only-nrf52840-s140-which-support-bt5-long-range-coded-phy
I want to interface my peripheral applications with nRF52 DK as a Central without developing a central application. How Can I do this?
Just put the basic Central functionality on the DK, and communicate with the PC via COM port

Use the pc-ble-driver

Look at Serialisation.
