Hi AndreasF,

I'm currently testing this example. I am having the same issue as Sunil vignesh where the UART Mesh coexist board is not detected by the nRF Mesh App so I was wondering if you could give me more details about the testing process.

By that, I mean what are the detailed steps to do after I flashed the ble_app_uart_coexist on one of my DK boards ? How can I see that the Mesh for light switching part is working ?

Is BLE_central can able to scan and display the MAC address and name of the peripherals ? - is there any code related to that

2. by using BLE_central code . it will scan and display the MAC address of any Bluetooth mobile phones ?

Maximum distance between the each peripherals will be 75m- 150m.

and edges of the network will be around 600 - 800m

as of now i got maximum distance of 25m between two devices (not in line of site).

with internal PCB Antenna (length 25mm)

the application we are going to use :

HOME automation

Fitness tracker

Health care

Hi.

How long range do you require between the peripherals? How long range is there between the edges of the network?

If the range is not long, then you could create a star network with one central and up to 20 peripherals.

If the range is very long then I suggest a Mesh network.

But as I have said in my previous reply, BLE UART is not a Mesh solution, it is BLE.

HI,

I need to work on the HOME IOT application. for that i need one client and multiple servers (upto 15 - 20).

In that client will query the each server regarding status and sensor output. (note : each Server has different sensor values). with respect to server data. client has to take necessary actions.

And client has to connect with mobile phone show that it will show the All Server data via one client .

For this I need to work in BLE_UART peripheral and i need to work this in MESH network to achieve long distance

Please Give me a solution ..!

Hi.

Could you try to connect using nRF Connect?

Note that UART over Mesh is not implimented, the ble_app_uart_coexist example uses BLE for UART, and Mesh for light switching.

Think is after download the ble_uart code to nrf52832 DK.

in another board I download the Light switch server code.

in nRF MESH app

only shows light switch server device. not showing ble uart device.

while i search the device in nrf uart app.

nordic uart device as shown and the after connecting the device within few seconds it will disconnected . while debugging the code it just show disconnected only.

What do you mean by "interlink these codes"?

I need to use BLE_UART MESH like CLIENT and SERVER

that is 3 SERVER has to send the data to CLIENT when the client query the server

copy it to the example/ble_peripheral/

added the global macros MESH_ROOT

and i bulld and download the file to the nrf52832 DK board

in another board i download the light switch server code

1. i don't know how to interlink these codes

2. If i connect the ble_uart code with UART app within few seconds its disconnecting ...

It is located in examples\sdk_coexist\ble_app_uart_coexist.

Have you looked at Building with Segger Embedded Studio in DocLib?

You need to assign a Global Macro to SDK 15.2

It should look something like this:

SDK_ROOT=C:/NordicSemi/nRF5_SDK_15.2.0_9412b96

This is my path to SDK 15.2

You need this Global Macro because some of the projects or features uses SDK 15.2

Hi,

Now what i did is

1. i created one folder nRF5_MESH

2. under that extract the files nRF5_Mesh_3.0.0 and nRF5_SDK_15.2.0_9412b96

3. I didn't assign global macros

4. when i build there is no error

Is it need global macros to be SDK_ROOT=.F:\nRF52 SDK files\nRF5_MESH\nRF5_SDK_15.2.0_9412b96

what is the next step?

directly download it to nrf52_DK board? or need to assign with python

what is the need of the python

Hi again.

1. Is nrf_mesh_assert.h included in the preprocessor definition?

2. Are you using the Mesh SDK 3.0.0? Are there a flash_placement.xml file in the project folder? (nrf5SDKforMeshv300src\examples\light_switch\client folder)

If not, download the SDK again, these files were missing by a mistake in the release.

Hi.

You have to include the header files boards.h, ble.h, app_timer.h, and nrf.h in the preprocessor definition, as explained here.
