Regarding your question about DFU, I did mean that after setting APP_ADV_DURATION to zero and making sure it works fine in my PCA10056 board, I will perform a Secure DFU procedure to incorporate this change into several modules I have.

Which SDK version are you using, SDk v15.2.0?

If its v15.2.0 then you should only have to change the APP_ADV_DURATION definition in main.c from

#define APP_ADV_DURATION 18000

#define APP_ADV_DURATION 0

for the nRF52840 to advertise without any timeout.

I didnt quite understand the part about DFU. Could you elaborate?
