Anyone can scan the advertising packets, it is not possible to hide them.</p> <p>If your phone is a peripheral(supported by some iOS devices) and the nRF51822 is a central, the nRF51822 could stay hidden, just scanning for advertising packets from the phone.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
