Thank you for reporting this as well.
We have seen that logging in with the Devzone in nrf_cloud can cause issues when registering a new SIM card.

Same problem here. I had to create a new account to by pass loging in with my Dev Zone account. That worked.

Solved. Signed up for a new account instead of using current account.
