Well, Thank you for that. Last I just want to ask I was trying to implement BLE Based Background DFU, So the linked IOT Implementation still provide inspiration or help because it is not ble based

Hi,

Nordic does not provide any normal BLE based background DFU implementation. It should definitely be possible to modify the existing bootloader to do background DFU, but so you have to implement it yourself. I suggest you look at the IoT implementation that I linked to together with the "normal" DFU implementation from the SDK to get inspiration.

Hello,

I've gone through the page but it seems it is not ble based but ftp transfer. If Nordic don't provide it, I want to know can we modify the existing secure_bootloader_dfu code to the requirement that we are looking for? I mean can I modify the example implementation in any way that it can run at the application level. or it is impossible for the sdk 12.3?

Hi,

What you describe is essentially what is called Background DFU in Nordic SDK context. We do not provide any such implementation for normal BLE applications, and no implementation at all for SDK 12.3. You can refer to the IoT background DFU implementation from a later SDK for reference, though.
