 or what are the ways I can get nRF52832/52840 out of deep sleep mode from external sources?

In Chapters 18.2 &amp;amp; 18.3, the System ON &amp;amp; System OFF modes are described in detail.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you want to wake up the Thingy from deep sleep (System OFF), you will either need to do this via a GPIO, the NFC tag, by&amp;nbsp;using the LPCOMP module or via a reset. The Thingy:52 can be turned on by moving it, which should trigger the low power accelerometer to turn the Thingy on.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yes, you can wake up the Thingy:52 to do sensor readings by sending a BLE packet. But you will not be in System OFF mode then. If the nRF52 is sleeping in between advertising, then it should be possible to wake up the nRF52 by using a connectable service. However, you will not be in the deepest sleep mode, system off mode.
