We do not have any specific recommendations on this, except from what is described in Production programming and testing documentation.

I would recommend that you contact Segger to get recommendations on which programmer would fit your use-case best.

In this case the Flasher Arm is an over kill, so what single programmer is recommended?

Hi,

If you are using a single programmer, it should work fine to get/store the incremented number to a file. Just write a script that reads the file, flash the board, and increment the number before storing it back.
