According to the datasheet (<a href="https://www.pololu.com/file/0J714/SY42STH38-1684A.pdf">https://www.pololu.com/file/0J714/SY42STH38-1684A.pdf)</a> it seems the maximum PPS (I guess that means pulses per second) is around 5k.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
