The flash size is given in softdevice migration document, but the RAM size will depend on your application configuration. Default for ble_app_blinky example in SDK 12.3.0 is (from GCC linker script):

FLASH (rx) : ORIGIN = 0x1b000, LENGTH = 0x25000
RAM (rwx) : ORIGIN = 0x20001fe8, LENGTH = 0x6018

0x04 means NRF_ERROR_NO_MEM. Most likely, there is not enough RAM for the softdevice. What did you put in "Section Placement Macros" configuration?

That part I also did: adding the full path of the softdevice to the debug add aditional file, but still doesn't work.

I followed the complete instructions:

Still no success! There is error 04 when main.c calls

err_code = softdevice_enable(&ble_enable_params);

the result is 04 and the error handler resets the controller.

Thanks for the tip.

I still didn't succeed to save the SES project after I import it from Keil.

I succeeded to compile and run the project! Thanks. Now next problem is the program resets when calling ble_stack_init. Probably the softdevice is not loaded or not enabled? Must I make some special thing to flash the softdevice?

I meant that you should upload the SES project, so I did not have to replicate all your steps to import it from Keil.

My project is the SDK12 example, so it makes no sense to zip because it would mean you would get the SDK12!

Hurra! I discovered the problem! The file extension of ses_nrf51_startup.s file was txt and that's why it was not compiling.

Now I get several errors because a section is not present but I already read how to correct it.

Thanks for your help, without it I wouldn't have made it!

The reset handler is defined in the assembly file ses_nrf51_startup.s and, in my view, it is defined. However, no matter what SDK example I load, all give the same error. The point is how to remove this error, as I have no clue how to do it.

This is a part of the file where I believe it is defined:

So, in my opinion the error is in the ses_nrf51_startup.s file.

It is also strange that compiling gives only a warning, not an error, but doesn't build, although the setting "treat warnings as errors" is set to No!

Note that the file ses_nrf51_startup.s is original, so I made no change.

You said you had 20 years experience.

So you should be able to have a good guess at what a "reset handler" is going to be. Looking at where it's called from should also help.

Try a search through all the SDK source files to see if you can find one.

Possibly also the source files in the SES installation ...

Again, this is where looking at a working example would help.
