You could use the nRF Sniffer for instance, but you'll need to have a DK.

For using the Bluetooth low energy app in the nRF connect app you also will need external hardware (DK).

I did some digging in Devzone and since it seems like a Bluetooth Low Energy Windows 10 driver issue you could try to install the latest Windows 10 version and see if that helps, see this case here https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/f/nordic-q-a/40874/windows-10-driver-error-with-ble-hid-devices

Regards,

I don't actually have any of the DKs, as the keyboard I'm using just has the core board SMD soldered to it. By using a sniffer do you mean using the nRF connect app? I tried using the Bluetooth Low Energy app in nRF Connect v2.6.1 and got the following error:

It's difficult for me to say what is going wrong when trying to connect to your Dell laptop. If you have another DK at hand you could try to take a sniffer trace to see what is happening over the air and if the laptop is doing something differently from your windows desktop. This can help you to narrow down the issue.

Best Regards,
