Please set up the Debugging environment as shown in this Youtube tutorial.

So it looks like you have an issue enabling TWI.
Please take a look at the TWI sensor example and use that as reference.

This is the error I am seeing in the Debug terminal:

There are no error codes in app_error.c. The code does not end up running there.

Could you check if there is any error codes returned when you end up in NRF_BREAKPOINT_COND/app_error_weak.c, as described in this post?
