Hi,

There are a couple of hints in the thread Eddystone and IBeacon features merge, as well as links to some resources for getting started.

There is also a thread where a user implemented iBeacon and Eddystone using timeslots: Eddystone and ibeacon with Timeslot API. I mainly suggest, however, that you try the approach of merging the functionality from the SDK examples.

Thank you very much for this information. How do I go about merging two examples and alternating between them?

As i am new to this nrf development environment, I find it really hard to read the example codes. Help me out here and Thanks in advance.

Hi,

SoftDevice event handling changed in SDK 14, and the guide that you are following are from an older SDK. Please have a look at the SoftDevice Handler section of the nRF5 SDK v14.0 migration guide. In particular, the callback handler is registered with the NRF_SDH_SOC_OBSERVER macro.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any example or tutorial combining the Eddystone example with timeslot iBeacons. As we do have both an Eddystone example and a Beacon example (that can easily be converted to iBeacon), if you find the timeslot approach to be difficult you may consider merging those and switch advertising data between Eddystone and iBeacon instead?

Also help me to find out how to configure the ibeacon advertisement in the eddystone example. Link me to the tutorial if there is any to achieve this.
