How have you solved this by now?
I've managed to do so by using raw hci command interface only.

Hi,

I can confirm that with the nRF52840 and the Zephyr HCI example you can do Coded PHY. While I have gotten indications most of Bluetooth 5 should work with BlueZ I have not found any documentation on how. I am afraid you have to go directly to BlueZ with your questions there, as awneil suggested. See http://www.bluez.org/contact/

That, surely, would be a question for bluez.org - nothing to do with Nordic?
