I suspect that the project you used wasn't configured correctly. Please use the ble_app_hrs that included in the SDK. If you want to use the project you have ( ble_app_hrs_rssi_pwm) you would need to make sure the project option is configured properly, especially in the target tab. (please match it with the ble_app_hrs project option)

I can download blinky example. But when I use Heart Rate Sensor example, it didn't work. So I think the softdevice have some problem. It just like I attached below. Could you please tell me where I can find official version 5.2. I can't find it.

You can find the SDK here at Download tab -> Software section: www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51822

I suggest you to follow the Quick start guide in the Userguide, you can download here www.nordicsemi.com/.../nRF51822-Evaluation-Kit

You can start with the blinky example to make sure the board work properly, then move to the Heart Rate Sensor example.

Note that the softdevice current official version is 5.2. The 6.0 version is in alpha state.

Yes, I have recover it. But I meet the problem 2. And my softdevice version is like:s110_nrf51822_6.0.0-1.alpha.And SDK is like:nrf51_sdk_v4_3_0_27417. I try to find sdk from your Internet now, but I didn't find. please give me help.

Could you verify if you can recover the chip ? In the second image it seem you managed to get to recover the chip and can program the firmware.

The error on the second image show that you are programming into protected area. This usually happens when you flash an older version of the softdevice. Make sure you have latest version of the material:

nRFGo Studio v1.15.1
Softdevice version 5.2.0
SDK version 4.3

If you still couldn't recover, you can try to use the nrfjprog.exe tool. You can open commandline and type:

nrfjprog --recover

You should be able to recover the chip. If error occurs, please take a screenshot.

I would suggest you to follow the quick start guide in the nRF51822 Evaluation Kit Userguide to make sure everything work fine.

Hi Acmarkham,

Have you powered the chip ? Have you make sure the jumpers are connected properly ? Could you take a picture of your board ?

You should also update the nRFGo Studio to the newest version ( 1.15.1) we have issue with the earlier version that it could not recover the chip.

The error you have got most likely that the chip was entered deep sleep mode or not powered.
