Does the number of elements needs to be fixed or it could also be also dynamicaly changed? Also, regarding the Sensor Model, do you have anything coming soon or it is better to develop

RE: Bluetooth mesh number of elements

Hi,

No. According to Mesh Profile specification v1.0, section 2.3.4 Elements:

"The number and structure of elements is static and does not change throughout the lifetime of a node (that is, as long as the node is part of a network)."

That is, in order to change the number of elements the node hs to leave the network, then change, then be provisioned into the network as any other new node. (From the network's perspective it will then be a completely new node.)

Regarding Sensor Model, we do not have anything at the moment, and from what I understand we do not have it coming anytime soon. For a definite answer you can contact our regional sales manager for your area. If you do not know who that is you can send me a private message (or ask in a private thread).

Regards,
Terje
