I also have the same problem, I ported the example to nRF52840, but I get the exact same error message as above. Is there any way to resolve this? I built the zip with the right SD firmware ID, so that can not be the problem.

Maybe there is some incompatibility in the protobuf protocol?

I see there is a GitHub repository (https://github.com/NordicPlayground/nRF52840-ble-secure-bootloader) which contains an updated version for the nRF52840, but this does not include the latest SDK 15.3.0_59ac345 and also does not include the S140 SoftDevice 6.1.1. So I would really get an up-to-date version! Thanks.

hi , l also met this problem.

I use the 52832 DK to update the 52840,and when i choose the /example/dfu/secure_dfu_test_image/ble/52840,and then nrf connect return the info as same as your picture .

what did i missed?

Hi Marvin,

Could you try to update an SDK example instead of your application? Just to test.

I have a step by step guide here that you may want to follow.

If you can get a sniffer trace when you do DFU it would be very useful.
