Hi.

The run current for HFCLK is around 250 µA, the run current for LFCLK is 0.25 µA.

If you are using the radio then you need the crystal.

one last question. , How much current consumption difference between the app_tmer and nrf_drv_timer peripheral. .

I am in need to run my hardware module in a low power mode. for that LFCLK (32.768 khz) crystal required or not ?

as per ble_app_uart

uses BSP_BLE_ module link . here

as it is but i need is

current status button action event

connected 1 long push BSP_EVENT_SLEEP

not connected 1 long push BSP_EVENT_SLEEP

sleep 1 long push BSP_EVENT_WAKEUP

shall we change it like this???

Hi.

The app_timer uses the RTC peripheral and the nrf_drv_timer uses the TIMER peripheral.

The RTC peripheral uses the LFCLK (32.768 kHz), while the timer peripheral uses the HFCLK.

You have to configure it so that it fires on a long or a regular button press.

I havee seen the two programs .

One with app_timer

another is nrf_drv_timer

is there any major difference between these two? . Is it work with LFCLK ?

I want to differentiate single press and long press to get system : Wakeup and Sleep mode.

I suggest you take a look at the Application Timer Tutorial, and also look at the examples \examples\peripheral\timer and \examples\peripheral\simple_timer where different configurations of the timer is demonstrated.
