&lt;p&gt;The development status of the nRF9160 can be followed &lt;a href="https://devzone.nordicsemi.com/b/nrf9160-development-status/posts/nrf9160-development-status"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt;. Further questions regarding the timeline of the nRF9160 should go through your Regional Sales Manager.&amp;nbsp;From this link, the current status is that we are&amp;nbsp;&lt;span&gt;developing features and optimizing performance and will be rolling out samples&amp;nbsp;with better GPS support on March 31st.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&amp;nbsp;would recommend using the &lt;a href="https://github.com/Rallare/fw-nrfconnect-nrf/tree/nrf9160_samples/samples/nrf9160/ntp"&gt;NTP Sample&lt;/a&gt; we have for the nRF9160 as a workaround while waiting for full API support on&amp;nbsp;March 31st .&lt;/p&gt;
